In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to create a reflective text using Adobe Photoshop. We all know that the true heart reflects true things. But what about words? Is it possible to reflect on words? Our mindset always demonstrates our environment, our deeds, and our activities. So, it is essential to change the mindset and approach first to change something. Okay, What about the written text? Is it possible to create a reflection in the written text? The answer is ‘yes’ because we have a wonderful tool called Adobe Photoshop to get this stuff done.

So why should you create a reflection on the image? Because Sometimes a reflective model can bring the soul into your Graphics. It seems natural and real when you create a reflection in your graphics. Let’s see how to create a reflective text using Adobe Photoshop. Step 1: Creating a document

At first, we will create a new document. Let’s say it, Reflective text. The document settings are as follows:

  • Width: 1260 px
  • Height: 240 px
  • Resolution: 300 Pixel/inch.
  • Color Mode: RGB/8bit.
  • Background Contents: white

Now unlock the background Layer and set the layer name as “Background”.

Step 2: Fill the Background Color

Now, press the shift+f5 button, it will initiate the fill option popup. Set the fill color as ‘Black‘ Set the foreground color into a green shade #420317. Now take the text tool and write “Reflective Text” on the black background.

Step 3: Prepare the text

Select a bold text and create a duplicate copy. Place the copy just underneath the original text. Center Align it with the previous layer and go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical. It will make the whole text upside down.

Step 4: Create a rectangle shape

Create a rectangle shape on the lower text and fill it with gradients. Set the gradients upper color as like as the text and lower color as like as the background color. Adjust the stop colors point from the gradients window.

Step 5: Create a Clipping mask

Right-click on the rectangle shape layer and create a clipping mask. And adjust the opacity as directed in the video. And you are done.
